Flyboarding is one of the most visually spectacular water sports in existence — and doing it on Tehri Lake, with the Himalayas as your backdrop, makes it something else entirely.
A flyboard uses water jets to propel you up to 9 metres above the surface of the lake. You control the height and direction with your body. The learning curve is real and the first few attempts are chaotic and exhilarating in equal measure. Within minutes most people are hovering above the water with a view that feels completely surreal.
There are very few places in India where you can flyboard. Tehri Lake is the most extraordinary of them.
